It can be fairly said that American Marine, parent company of Grand Banks, invented the concept of trawler-style pleasure boats. Grand Banks appeal to boaters in search of a high-quality cruising experience and exacting build standards. The earliest boats, designed in the 1960’s by Arthur DeFever, are considered “classics”. Grand Banks continues to build yachts, though nearly all modern production is in the larger end of the size range.
